Our congregation, numbering around fifty, is mainly over 60 with a few exceptions, and we have one young family with two small children. Our worship is mixed with a variety of traditional and more modern services. We have a youth and family worker and our main outreach is to the young unchurches in the area and also our local community in general.
Our Sunday worship is at 10.00 am, where we have a music group and worship leaders to assist the preacher. Our worship continues with daily prayer meetings Tuesday to Friday at 9.00 am, a women's meeting on a Wednesday afternoon at 2.00 pm, and a Youth Club on a Friday evening starting at 6.00 pm — with Messy Church replacing Youth Club on the first Friday of the month. A Youth Drop-in for teenagers meets on Fridays at 7.30 pm.
The secular activities that take place on our church premises are: Mother & Toddler Groups on a Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9.30 am, Community Lunch at 12 noon on the 2nd Friday in the month, Jack & Jill — a pre-school nursery — five days a week, Slimming World on a Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, and Dance School four times a week. A Yoga group meets on a Wednesday at 7.00 pm, Gateway into the Community meets on a Thursday at 7.00 pm, Karate meets on a Friday at 4.00 pm, Prudhoe Gleeman Choir meets on a Monday at 7.15 pm and a Church singing group meets on a Friday evening.
We are celebrating 150 years in 2016, and are still bringing the love of Jesus to our community. Our church is seen as very welcoming and we have seen increases in most groups, especially in Messy Church and the Community Lunch Group. We feel that God's spirit is at work in our church and the surrounding area.
Useful directions for finding the church:
Coming from the west on the A695, the church is on the right side of the road just before the main shopping area. Coming from the east on the same road, it is on the left after the shops.
