Our church has approx 38 members — we are not a large congregation but we are enthusiastic about spreading God's word and about welcoming new people amongst us. We are of mixed ages (especially at morning services). We have a morning and evening service each week, sometimes we have a local arrangement service and sometimes we have a visiting preacher from another circuit.

We have regular outreach into the village and community ie coffee mornings Tuesdays and Thursdays staffed by church members which includes a monthly police surgery. Messy church is held monthly which is well supported within the village — all three clergy are involved in this as well as members from all three church congregations. Approx 20-24 children attend this along with their parents. Twice yearly we have a puppet show for local children which is given by a talented family who have recently moved into our village and the attendance last time was over 100 (children, parents, older members).

We work well with the other village church congregations and clergy — we have ecumencial services for special times of the year ie Easter, Christmas, Pentecost, Harvest.

We have a fortnightly evening prayer group which meets at a nearby member's home and also a fortnightly morning time of prayer, when we meet for worship songs and to pray for the needs of others around us.

We welcome other groups to use our building ie nature group/French class. The building is used by our local surgery for the annual flu injections.

We have concerts three or four times a year and a quiz night as fundraising and outreach. We support the work of operation Christmas child shoe box appeal every year and we also have a collection of toys for the local Salvation Army in Hexham, where our toys/gifts are distributed to local needy homes.

One of our church members is involved in PCDC and through this organisation we sponser two of their children.

Useful directions for finding the church:
Turn off A69 at Haydon Bridge sign. After half a mile, just after crossing bridge, turn right. The church is on left hand side just before railway crossing.
