Alex Dunstan: April 2018
Christians at Haltwhistle Methodist Chapel marked Holy Week and Easter Day in a number of ways — Maundy Thursday Communion, a Good Friday March of Witness with other Christians in the town; Easter Verses — an informal time of Songs and Reflections on Saturday afternoon; and Easter Sunday Worship, when all ages gathered to celebrate the Risen Christ. Many people took part in worship and the joy of the Easter message was very evident and was shared in drama, song, word and bread and wine. The cross was decorated with spring flowers and put up outside the chapel as one way of sharing Easter with those in our community. Jesus Christ is Risen, Hallelujah!
