The Church has a mature Sunday congregation. Dubbed the "Centre of Britain", and close to Hadrian's Wall, Haltwhistle is increasingly attracting visitors, to whom we offer a warm welcome.
The building, standing at the heart of the town, is used for many different church and community groups. There is a Drop-in every Tuesday for older residents, and Haltwhistle Art Club meet every Friday, occasionally holding exhibitions of their work.
The hall is a regular venue for Coffee Mornings and similar events. We have held "Warm Space" events during the winter months and hope to do so again.
The church seeks to be a blessing to the community of Haltwhistle and the surrounding villages. In the past years we have had some changes of minister, but now hope for a more consistent ministry: we are also hoping to employ a part-time Community worker.
As part of Churches Together in Haltwhistle, we regularly work with our Anglican and Roman Catholic neighbours (eg for weekly prayers, Good Friday procession of witness, united services).
Regular church services take place at Haltwhistle every Sunday morning at 10.30am.
Useful directions for finding the church:
The church is on the main shopping street, opposite Barclays bank and next door to the library. The church and hall entrance are in the pedestrian lane between library and church.
