One of the Circuit's historic churches will reopen its doors this weekend for the first time in 2021.
Riding Mill Methodist Church will host a Whitsun service, led by Rev. Marie Beard, at 6pm on Sunday.
With limited space available, capacity is restricted to just 13 to allow for social distancing. All seats are expected to be taken by members of the congregation.
Beyond this weekend, Riding Mill is set to hold services on June 6th and 20th, which will also take place at 6pm and be led by Rev. Beard.
It is expected that weekly Sunday morning services will resume at Riding Mill in July.
Several churches have reopened over the past month, with people across the Circuit responding positively to the gradual opening up of society following lockdown.
Like other congregations, Riding Mill have embraced technology during the pandemic by sharing worship online via Zoom.
