Below is a statement about a course due to start in the new year.
The Wesley Study Centre is excited to share this course, in partnership with Cranmer Hall and the Free Church Track at St John’s College, Durham.
It will run across 3 locations and there will be Vision launch nights happening in Newcastle, County Durham and Teesside in January. The courses will start in March 2023 with the first Saturday sessions. After that there will be one evening session a month (with a break for August) and then the second Saturday will be in September, followed by evenings until Feb 2024. There are 8 evenings and 2 Saturdays over the year.
The course is the tried and tested CPAS Growing Leaders material, delivered in the context of leadership and mission in the North East and would be ideal for anyone leading on Church leadership teams, or leading small groups, children & youth ministry, fresh expressions or new places for new people.
The course is broken down into 3 parts, firm foundations for Christian leadership (looking at identity, call and character), key skills of Christian leadership (looking at discerning direction, discipleship and team work) and keeping the faith in Christian leadership (looking at the cost of leadership, staying fresh and continuing well).
