The Greatest Story Ever Knitted
Over the weekend of 11th and 12th August we held an exhibition of stories from the Bible created using figures knitted by a small group of people from the church. Each window-sill in the church held a display – these included the Creation, the Nativity, some of the Parables, the good shepherd and Jonah and the whale and many more. Each display had the accompanying Bible reading beside it so visitors could read the story of the display.
The exhibition was visit by 154 people who came to see the displays and enjoy the refreshments served in the Schoolroom. Donations for the Bible Society amounted to over £360 and £150 was raised from the refreshments which will be donated to charity.
